Millipede carcasses photographed by their own fluorescence under UV illumination on a night hike at Windy Hill OSP.
These are two (partial) carcasses brought together for the photo. The one on the left is both more decomposed and bluer. The blotches of light in the upper right part of the photo are severed legs. It's hard to get the color tint right; both were a little more yellow-green than is shown.

There were many living millipedes, which showed up beautifully under UV illumination. Hard to photograph, though, because they were always in motion and the photo needed a fairly slow shutter. Hence a photo of dead ones.
